Yesterday, December 25, 2024, at a meeting with RAU students, the players of the Armenian Hockey League (AHL) and the Black Bears team (Polytech), the city of St. Petersburg, spoke about the development of hockey in Armenia, discussed the current situation and plans for the future.
Vadim Guskov, the head coach of the national ice hockey team, shared his expectations for the 2025 World Cup, which will be held in Yerevan in April.
He stressed that one of the main tasks of the AHL is to ensure a decent representation of Armenia in the international arena.
The students of the Russian-Armenian University showed great interest in the discussion. The following questions were asked: "why did hockey players choose this particular sport, how do they manage to combine training with their personal lives, as well as how to cope with burnout and defeat."
At the end of the meeting, Grigor Nalbandian, member of the Board of Directors of the Armenian Hockey League and official representative of HC Pyunik, presented the Pyunik team jersey to Ripsima Margaryan, Advisor to the Rector for Youth Affairs of the RAU, and Tatevik Hayrapetyan, Chairman of the Student Sports Department.
